The company owns Scandiflora bv in Holland, and are purchasing from “itself”, to ensure the margins do not disappear and be able to compete both in price and quality here in our home market. FD wants to distance itself to our clients worst competitors completely. That’s why we try to work with better qualities, better assortment and other varieties than usually found on the gasstation or in the grocery store. We want to support the florists of Norway 100 %, and we feel very much that we are the only company fighting 100 % for this part of the market. We do not wanna come in a situation where we help a grocery store chain to kick out the florist of the market. And we believe florists who spend their money in companies fighting with them with the left hand and against them with the right are bound to loose. Todays logistic possibilities makes everything possible, and the true florists of Norway has absolutely nothing to gain by strengthening their enemies rather than weakening them. We help and assist all florists in this battle every day. And we promise we will in the future also.
History
FlowerDirect AS was founded and started by Svein Brændjord in 2002 as a one-man’s dream. After 15 years in the business he had some vision and ideas of a different company adapted to the Norwegian market specifically. In the beginning it was not easy, but step by step more qualified personell recognized the results he produced and jumped on board.
In 2015 the FlowerDirect Group consists of 3 companies in 2 countries, has over 30 employees, clients in 5 countries and increasing as we speak. The total turnover is now close to 220 mill nkr/25 mill euro. The journey has been fantastic, but has only been possible due to hard work, hard work and hard work alone. Svein is today the CEO in the group and together co-owners Jan Martin Støver as operational manager and Jon Egil Dahl, logistic manager runs the company from day to day.
Philosophy

In our unique solution, you can also shop from our updated warehouse at Langhus from day to day, or take part in our flow of goods on the way in via the tab «goods on the way».
